For nearly three decades, Deveraux R. Hubbard, D. Min. has helped people discover that they belong in God's story.

As a pastor, educator, and mentor, he has spent his life helping others grow through biblical teaching, emotional health, and authentic relationships. Having raised three children and helped guide more than twenty others, he has learned that one of the
deepest questions every young person asks is: Do I belong?

The Squad of Twelve is his answer.
Inspired by his own childhood longing to see himself reflected in the stories he loved, Hubbard faithfully reimagines the story of Jesus and His disciples through the lens of contemporary urban life, inviting children, especially children of color, to discover that they have always belonged in God's story.
